The
Bible asks us to pray for one another!
“Do not be anxious
about anything, but in everything, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests
to God.” Philippians 4:6
The National Day
of Prayer is May 6, 2010

“Guide me, O Lord,
in all the changes and varieties of the world,
that in all things that shall happen I may have
an evenness and tranquillity of spirit; that my
soul may be wholly resigned to thy divinest will
and pleasure, never murmuring at thy gentle chastisements
and fatherly correction, never waxing proud and
insolent though I feel a torrent of comforts and
prosperous successes.” Jeremy Taylor
God, there is so
much war, so much violence, so much conflict --
too much. And it is the poorest and most vulnerable
who suffer even more as a result: in displacement,
in victimization, in loss of life. We lift up
our brothers and sisters whose lives are most
impacted by such circumstances. Bring peace to
their lives, to their societies, to their worlds,
Lord. And as we commit to walking with the poor,
give us opportunities to stand with them and to
stand for them. We pray all this in the name and
power of the Prince of Peace, amen.

Please pray
for the people of Belfast; as they experience
religious fighting in the city. The people of

as they cope with violence and hatred on the streets.
Please pray for
Pastor Eric Sandras, he has been diagnosed with
cancer. It is an agressive form of colon cancer.
and they are going into to surgery pretty soon
to try and remove it. Please keep Eric and his
family in your prayers for comfort and healing
throughout this difficult time.
Please pray for
Vivian Kahler. She goes to our Church and is the
Mother of Clarence Schmitz who is part of Mike's
Bible Study! She has been going through a struggle
with Cancer the past few years and has become
Cancer free, but all the surgeries and Chemotherapy
that she has had has taken it’s toll on her. Please
also pray for Clarence and their family for strength
and hope in this very difficult time!
Please pray for Ted
Coward's sister Pam and her family as she continues
to struggle with a brain tumor. She is recovering
from surgery in which they removed much of the
tumor, however her doctors believe she will only
survive six months to one year.
Please pray for the
Men of the Desert Vineyard and our families that
we would move towards God and His will for our
lives individually and corporately.
Please pray for men
that feel God calling them to serve, to respond
to Him in obedience and love. |
