On Prayer

The Bible asks us to pray for one another!

"Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God." Bob Pierce

“By my definition, prayer is consciously hanging out with God. Being with God in a deliberate way.” Malcolm Boyd

“Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for powers equal to your tasks. Then the doing of your work shall be no miracle, but you shall be the miracle.” Phillips Brooks

“Prayer in the sense of petition, asking for things, is a small part of it; confession and penitence are its threshold, adoration its sanctuary, the presence and vision and enjoyment of God its bread and wine.” C. S. Lewis

Prayer Requests

Please pray for our Brothers in Christ!

Please pray for the people of Belfast; as they experience religious fighting in the city. The people of Willowfield Parish need your thoughts and prayers as they cope with violence and hatred on the streets.

Please pray for Chuck Kemeny, he is struggling with cancer. Chuck is undergoing chemo therapy and is in a lot of pain. Please pray for his healing and comfort, as well as his family.

Please pray for Ted Coward's sister Pam and her family as she continues to struggle with a brain tumor. She is recovering from surgery in which they removed much of the tumor, however her doctors believe she will only survive six months to one year.

Please pray for the Men of the Desert Vineyard and our families that we would move towards God and His will for our lives individually and corporately.

Please pray for men that feel God calling them to serve, to respond to Him in obedience and love.
